Easy Fruit Pizza
This Easy Fruit Pizza makes the perfect summer dessert and is a hit with the family! It has a sugar cookie crust, a cream cheese spread, and loads of sliced fresh fruit. Did I mention how pretty it is?

I really like the cream cheese filling sandwiched between the fruit and cookie base. I added lemon zest and juice and whipped it up with some heavy cream. The lemon added just the right amount of zing and complimented the fresh fruit on top.
If you have extra strawberries on hand, check out this strawberry pie! It's another scrumptious summer dessert that's a must try.

Ingredients Needed

See the recipe card at the bottom of the post for all ingredients and quantities.
Sugar Cookie Dough - You will use a package of sugar cookie dough. You can make homemade sugar cookies if you want, or you can use the dough to make a giant pie base. I have a sour cream sugar cookie recipe and a cream cheese sugar cookie recipe that would both be delicious.
Cream Cheese - You need to use room-temperature cream cheese so it is a spreadable and creamy texture.
Lemon - Real lemon juice and lemon zest are both used to help lighten up the cream cheese frosting for this dessert.
Powdered Sugar - The powdered sugar sweetens up the mixture but also thickens the mixture up a bit.
Heavy Cream - The heavy cream enriches the flavor and helps thin the frosting so it's easy to spread and not too thick.
Fruit - I used strawberries, kiwi, and blueberries for this dessert pizza.
Variations
- Single-Serve Cookies: Instead of making a giant fruit pizza, you can make regular-sized cookies that you make single-serve cookies.
- Fruit Used: Add on pineapple, shredded coconut, mango, raspberries, blueberries, etc. Feel free to add any prepped fruit you would like.
- Frosting: You can change up the type of frosting you spread on the cookies if you like. You can add cocoa powder to make it chocolate or add a fruit extract to create a fruity flavor. You could also use vanilla frosting, etc.
- Toppings: Drizzle on chocolate syrup, caramel sauce, mini chocolate chips, etc. You can even consider shredded coconut or chopped nuts.

How to Make Easy Fruit Pizza

Step 1: Roll out your sugar cookie on a prepared round pizza pan. Spread out evenly.
Step 2: Then, you will bake the cookie dough as directed. Once it is done, let it cool completely.

Step 3: Then, in a large bowl, mix the cream cheese until super creamy, scraping the sides of the bowl.
Step 4: Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and heavy cream and mix until fully combined.
Step 5: Add in the powdered sugar and mix on low until mostly combined. Turn mixer on medium/high and beat until fluffy.
Step 6: Spread the cream cheese over the cookie base.

Step 7: Slice your fruit and place it all over the pizza. Then slice and serve or refrigerate until you are ready to serve.
Storing Dessert Pizza
Your dessert pizza can be stored in a sealed container for up to 4 days in the fridge. You will find the fruit does leak a bit after it sits in the fridge, so it can water down the topping of the pizza.
Due to the fruit and cream cheese mixture, it is best not to freeze the sugar cookie fruit pizza.
Tips for Success
- Make sure the cookie has an even thickness when you bake it. That way, you get an even cook.
- It is essential the cookie pizza is cooled, or it will melt the cream cheese frosting.
- Use an offset spatula to spread the frosting over the pizza cookie crust. This will give the frosting a nice, smooth texture.
- Pat your fruit dry before you place it on the pizza. This will help prevent the juices from releasing as quickly, and the fruit will not become as soggy.
- This dessert is best served on the first day of making it.
- Aim to use fresh fruit and other ingredients for a quality flavor.

Recipe FAQs
If you find it is too runny, then add some extra powdered sugar to the mixture. Aim for a tablespoon of powdered sugar until it reaches your desired consistency.
Use a microplane or grater to peel off the outer layer of the lemon. Make sure that you only peel the yellow and leave out the white flesh, as that will make it sour. Peel thin layers of the lemon, tap off the zest, and use it for the recipe.
Yes, use dairy-free cream cheese and milk to replace the heavy cream. If the texture is off, adjust the amount of ingredients to create a smooth and creamy frosting.
