Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip
This chocolate chip cookie dough dip makes a great party dessert dip! It's so creamy, fluffy, and made with mini chocolate chips. Double down on the chocolate chip cookie part and dip your cookies in it too!
Who's having a game day party this weekend? Do you like to add in a couple dessert dips? If you do, I bet you would l love this chocolate chip cookie dough dip OR monster cookie dough dip.
The monster cookie dough dip is one of my most popular recipes on the site. It has m&m's, chocolate chips, peanut butter, oatmeal, just like a regular monster cookie would.
How to make Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip
Both the chocolate chip cookie dough dip recipe and the monster cookie dough dip recipe are eggless and flourless. I know we all get into the raw cookie dough with eggs in it because it's SO good but you're not supposed to. So, now you don't have to risk it!
First, you'll need to grab some recipe ingredients.
- butter
- cream cheese
- brown sugar
- powdered sugar
- vanilla extract
- salt
- mini chocolate chips
- chocolate chip cookies, graham crackers, pretzels, etc for dipping
Begin by beating the butter and cream cheese together. If the cream cheese doesn't feel as soft as I would like, I will beat that with a hand mixer by itself. This helps keep the lumps of cream cheese down to a minimum.
Next, add in the brown sugar, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat until the cookie dough dip becomes light and fluffy.
Stir in the mini chocolate chips and set some aside to sprinkle on top after the dip is plated.
How to store Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip
Because there is cream cheese in the dip, it needs to be stored in the fridge covered with plastic wrap. The problem with this can be that the butter in the dip can stiffen up. You'll either need to let it warm up some before using it as a dip or grab a knife and spread it on your cookie/graham cracker/pretzel.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip Add-ins
Sometimes I like to switch things up a bit by adding in different chocolate chips or candies. Are you the same way?
- toffee bits
- M&M's
- sprinkles
- candy bar bites ie. snickers bites, twix bites, milky way bites
- chopped up cookies ie. Oreos, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Nutter Butter

a bit hit at my party!
So happy to hear!
I made it for superbowl! Canโt wait to raise everyoneโs blood sugar. Lol
Haha, hope everyone enjoyed it!
Tastes great! Made it last year for Thanksgiving appetizer. Will be making again this year!
Wonderful to hear!!!
This looks yummy! Can I substitute more butter for the cream cheese?
Yes you can! I like the sweet and tangy taste of the cream cheese but replacing it with butter will also work fine.
Do you use salted or unsalted butter?
Unsalted butter is what I recommend. If you use salted butter then omit the salt from the recipe. Otherwise, it will be too salty.
How well does it keep in the fridge? I seem to have leftovers from the recipe. I imagine it wouldnโt be as creamy if it gets cold.
It is pretty good cold! It will keep in the fridge for about 3-4 days. Leave it at room temperature for about an hour if you'd like it to get soft again.
HI! Do you use stick butter or from a tub?
Thank you.
I use sticks of butter. I like how it is easy to measure thanks to the marks on the stick wrappers.
Salted or unsalted butter?
Unsalted butter. If you use salted, omit the salt in the recipe or it will become too salty.
Hi there!
We love this dip but often times have leftovers. Have you ever tried freezing it?
I have! It freezes wonderfully. Make sure it is completely sealed and then freeze for up to a month. Thaw it in the fridge overnight and it will taste as good as new!
It's not supposed to taste exactly like cookie dough because it's a dip, not a cookie.
Just ok. Does not taste just like cookie dough.
Iโm sorry it wasnโt your favorite! Try mixing in a pinch of baking powder, this can help get that slight tangy of cookie dough.
I would like to make this ...I have all the ingredients...but what are the measurements...cups...whole bag...how much on the sugars???...how much vanilla...how much butter...how much cream cheese...see where I'm going with this???
Scroll to the bottom of the post and get the measurements.
I love this recipe. I hope hit at my Christmas Eve party at my Aunt's house! I get asked to bring it yearly!
