Instant Pot Monkey Bread
This Instant Pot Monkey Bread is so easy to make and tastes amazing! This monkey bread (Instant Pot) is one of my very favorites. Each piece of biscuit is coated in cinnamon and sugar before being added to the bundt pan. Check out this Monkey Bread Recipe (Frozen Bread Dough) recipe too!

Summer is coming and so are the heat waves. It's time to dig out the pressure cooker to avoid running the oven and heating up the house. The first dessert to you need to try is this instant pot monkey bread. It's soft, gooey, and highly addicting.
Monkey Bread (Instant Pot) Ingredients
You're going to be shocked at how easy this dessert is to make and how few ingredients it requires. Take a look! ⬇️
- melted butter - I always use salted butter when making this recipe. It makes for a delicious sweet and salty monkey bread.
- light brown sugar - always pack the light brown sugar when measuring it. You can also use dark brown sugar or a combination of light and dark brown sugar if needed.
- granulated sugar - the sugar is mixed with the cinnamon and is used to coat all of the biscuits
- ground cinnamon - cinnamon adds the flavor for the monkey bread
- canned biscuits - use the regular sized biscuits that come in the can in the refrigerator section. Don't use the extra large ones because they won't all fit in your little bundt pan.

How to make Instant Pot Monkey Bread
- Start by adding 1 cup of water in your instant pot and placing your wire rack in the center of the pot.
- Spray the 7-inch bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add in the butter and microwave until melted.
- Add the brown sugar to the butter and stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into the bottom of the prepared bundt pan.
- In a shallow bowl, add in the sugar and cinnamon. Stir to combine.
- Quarter each biscuit. PRO TIP: I stack the biscuits 3 or 4 high and then cut them to save time.
- Roll the pieces of biscuit into the cinnamon and sugar. Evenly distribute the biscuits in the bundt pan.
- Pour melted butter on the top of the biscuits.
- Cover the bundt pan with plastic wrap or tin foil.
- Place the bundt pan into the prepared instant pot.
- Lock the lid of the instant pot and place on high pressure for 25 minutes.
- When done, turn out onto a rimmed serving plate.

Can you use frozen rolls instead of canned biscuits?
Yes! Unfortunately I haven't tested it to tell you exactly how many you'll need.
Can I use unsalted butter instead of salted butter?
Yep! That's not a problem at all.
Can I use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar?
Sure can!

I really want to make this tonight but only have 2 cans, can I still do it with 2?
I think 2 would work. The cooking time may be shorter.
Is it just three biscuits or if three cans, the ones with 4 biscuits or 8?
3 cans with 8 biscuits each in it.
Could I make this in the spring form pan for instant pot?
I believe that would work. It might take longer for the biscuits to cook up in the center though.
Hi Miranda
I made your monkey bread recipe this morning. So yummy! I will make it again. Thanks for sharing. Oh, next time I will add some pecan pieces.
Can you make this in the original IP insert without the Bundt pan?
Hi Leslie! You can make this switch and use a regular instant pot pan. I would just add about 5 more minutes to the cooking time to ensure the center of the monkey bread is cooked. Enjoy!
That looks yummy! Just to clarify, the recipe calls for 3 cans of biscuits, correct?
That's correct!
What is the size of the tube of biscuits you used? I looked at Kroger today and it seems like there were only the big biscuits.
The tubes I used were the 7.5 ounces and I think had 10 biscuits in each one.
Looks delicious! Would love for you to share on our new link party, Handmade & Otherwise! http://petalspiesandotherwise.com/handmade-otherwise-link-up-week-2/
What a great recipe for the Instant Pot, can't wait to try it! Hope you are having a good week and thanks so much for sharing with us at Full Plate Thursday!

Very important: do not cover with plastic wrap! It will melt and ruin your entree, I wish I followed my instinct on this one.
Oh no! I'm so sorry. I changed the recipe to remove the plastic wrap so it doesn't happen to anyone else.
