Tips for Success

  • Make sure to melt the chocolate slowly, stirring between each heat cycle. Otherwise, it can burn the chocolate.
  • Don't overheat the chocolate or it can cause it to thicken and seize up. You will heat until the chocolate is fully melted. Depending on the strength of the microwave the cook time can vary.
  • Tap off the excess chocolate once you dip Oreos, or it will pool up around the cookie on the parchment paper.
  • Add toppings after you dip each cookie. Otherwise, the chocolate will be set up and the toppings will not stick properly.
  • Make as many or as few of these dipped Oreos as you would like. This is a recipe that you can adapt to your needs in terms of how many cookies you want.
