I’ve been on a kick lately with smoothies. First I made a chocolate peanut butter smoothie and now I’m moving on to a raspberry peach smoothie. Not only are these smoothies gorgeous, but so thick and creamy. As you can probably tell by the color of the smoothie, the smoothie has a strong raspberry flavor. The peach is much lighter, but still there.
This is a refreshing drink that uses all frozen fruit. Since I’m the kind of gal that will buy fruit and set it in my crisper drawer to be forgotten, this makes it so much easier for me. I have to set my fruit front and center in the fridge otherwise as they say, “out of sight, out of mind.”
Okay, so I used a pineapple juice because that’s what I had on hand. You can use apple, peach or whatever you desire or have on hand. Water could even do the trick, but might need to add a bit more sweetener.
Raspberry Peach Smoothie
- 3/4 cup frozen raspberries
- 5 slices of frozen peaches
- 3/4 cup peach yogurt
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 tsp . no-calorie sweetener
- In a blender, add in all of the ingredients.
- Turn the blender on high and begin to blend. If things stop moving, stop blender and use a spoon to stir. Repeat blending until the smoothie is smooth and creamy.
- Pour into a glass and serve!
If you want to use sugar instead of no-calorie sweetener, go ahead. You may need to add more or less for your desired sweetness.
I have another smoothie coming up to. Maybe two, I’m not sure. I’ll be spacing out the posts so they won’t be this week. My next one is will be an island smoothie though.
