Crockpot Apple Cobbler
This

has a filling of tender apples coated with a cinnamon brown sugar apple juice and a yellow cake mix cobbler topping that has butter drizzled on top of it.

Ingredients
Filling
8
large Honeycrisp apples
peeled, cored, and sliced
3/4
cup
light brown sugar
packed
1/4
cup
cornstarch
2
teaspoons
ground cinnamon
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
1/4
cup
apple juice
4
tablespoons
butter
sliced
Topping
15.25
ounce
box yellow cake mix
1/2
cup
butter
melted
Instructions
Filling
In a large 6 quart crock, add in the sliced
8 large Honeycrisp apples
.
In a small bowl, add in the
3/4 cup light brown sugar
,
1/4 cup cornstarch
,
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
, and
1/2 teaspoon salt
. Stir to combine.
Add the brown sugar mixture on top of the apples.
Pour the
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
and
1/4 cup apple juice
on top of the apple. Stir to coat the apples with the brown sugar mixture.
Add the slices of the
4 tablespoons butter
on top of the apples.
Topping
Add the
15.25 ounce box yellow cake mix
to the top of the apples. Be sure to evenly distribute it.
Pour the melted
1/2 cup butter
on top of the cake mix.
Place the lid on the crockpot and place on low for 6 hours. The juice will be bubbling along the sides of the crockpot.
Let cool slightly and serve.
Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce to the top.
