This Cream Cheese Apple Pie Dip has a fluffy cheesecake-style filling topped with homemade cinnamon apple pie filling. Made with tender Granny Smith apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, cream cheese, and whipped topping, this easy fall dessert dip is ready in about 30 minutes and perfect for serving with graham crackers, cookies, or pretzels.
In a large bowl, add the diced apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir until the diced apples are evenly coated.
Place the apple mixture and water in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir until combined.
Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat. Simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes, until the apples are tender.
In a small bowl, add the cornstarch. Spoon out a few tablespoons of the liquid from the apple mixture and whisk it with the cornstarch until smooth.
Pour the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan with the apple mixture and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
Remove from the heat and let the apple mixture cool completely.
Cheese Cheese Filling
In a large mixing bowl, add the cream cheese. Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed until smooth.
Add the whipped topping, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy and well combined. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl and stir in any remaining bits.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into a serving dish. Spoon the cooled apple pie filling over the top.
Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve. Pair with graham crackers, cookies, or pretzels for dipping.
Notes
For a sweeter flavor, use Honeycrisp apples instead of Granny Smith.
Add a pinch of nutmeg or allspice for another layer of warm spice.
