Add the sugar and molasses in a medium microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave for 10 seconds. Remove from the microwave and stir.
Microwave for another 10 seconds. Remove from the microwave and stir until the molasses has coated all of the granulated sugar and there are no more lumps. You can use the back of your spoon to help smash up any balls of molasses.
Store in an airtight container.
Add the sugar and molasses in a mini food chopper. Pulse until the molasses is evently distributed.
Work in any balls of molasses with a spoon, pressing the back of the spoon into the ball of molasses and breaking it apart.
