Soft & Chewy Caramels

I love the excuse to use hearts. It seems I have a ton of heart shaped pans. What's a girl to do with all of them? Oh, make caramels with them? Okay!

Valentine's day is only a few days away and this is the perfect sweet for your love. It's a perfect treat for yourself too.

How To Make  Soft & Chewy Caramels

INGREDIENTS

– Salted butter – Dark brown sugar – Light corn syrup – Sweetened condensed milk – Chocolate almond bark – Shortening , butter flavored – Sprinkles to garnish Swipe up for full list of ingredients

Step 1

Grease a 8x8 pan with cooking spray. In a large saucepan, add in the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and sweetened condensed milk.

Once the mixture comes up to a boil, place a candy thermometer on the side of the pan. Continue stirring so the mixture doesn't burn.

Once the caramel comes up to 250 degrees, turn off the heat and spoon the caramel into the pan. Let the caramel cool.
