You'll want 6 cookies that aren't broke. Separate the tops of the cookies from the cream and bottom. Set aside.
Place your black candy melts in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir. Repeat 2 more times until the candy melts are smooth and completely melted.
Place the ends of your cake pop sticks into the candy melt and then press it into the cream of your bottom cookie.
Spread about 1 - 2 teaspoons of peanut butter on top of the cream. Try to keep it inside the cream area.
Add about ½ teaspoon of black candy melt on top of the peanut butter.
Place your cookie top onto the candy melt and give it a little press. Run your finger along the edges of the pop while it's laying down to make sure nothing is leaking out. Don't pick the pops up until they are completely dry otherwise they'll fall apart.
Let the candy melt dry. I let it set up for about 15 minutes. If it's still wet, let it dry a little longer. It needs to be completely dry to move on to the next step otherwise it will fall apart in your candy melt.
Warm up your black candy melt by microwaving for 30 seconds and stirring. If it's still thick and clumpy, microwave for another 30 seconds. If it's piping hot, let it cool off some otherwise it's going to melt your cookie insides and the cookie will fall apart.
Dip your cookies in the black candy melt. Using a butter knife or cake spatula, scrape off the extra candy melt, leaving a nice flat top and sides.
Place on parchment paper to dry. Make sure your best side is pointing up. It took about 30 minutes for mine to dry. If it sticks, it's not dry yet.
Place the blue, red, and white candy melts in separate sandwich bags. Press out the air and seal it.
Microwave for 30 seconds and move around with your hands. Place back in the microwave for another 30 seconds and move around with your hands again. Moving it around will prevent the candy melts from burning and help melt any bits of chocolate that aren't melted completely. Repeat once more if the candy melt isn't completely melted.
Cut very tiny hole in the blue candy melt bag. Pipe on two swirls. They should be across from each other. Repeat with all pops.
Repeat the blue candy melts steps for the red and white candy melts. Let dry.
