St. Patrick's Day Cookies
St. Patrick's Day Cookies is a green crinkle cookies recipe that only requires 6 basic pantry ingredients. So if you are looking for affordable and fast, this recipe is right up your alley.

How to make Crinkle Cookies from Cake Mix
Start by adding your cake mix and the eggs and oil in a bowl and mix it up. Once your batter is mixed well, stir in the green food coloring. Mix until you get the desired color of green you would like.
Now toss your dough in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. The dough needs to chill in the fridge or it will not hold the shape as it bakes.
Once your dough has set, then grab a cookie scoop and roll into balls. Roll into sugar and powdered sugar and place on a baking sheet and cook accordingly!

Can you use a yellow cake mix?
Yes, you sure can swap a yellow cake mix in replace of a white cake mix. It will alter the flavor ever so slightly. You will find the food coloring will change the color a little different than plain white. It will still work and taste just as good.

How to Store St. Patrick's Day Cookies
These cookies can be stored at room temperature. I find that placing them in an airtight container or sealable bag works great. Just make sure the cookies are fully cooled or else condensation will build and make the cookies go bad.

Can You Freeze Crinkle Cookies?
Yes. If you don't plan to eat these all right away, you can freeze them. Toss any extras in a freezer bag or airtight container. Then store up to three months. Thaw the cookies on the counter when you want to eat them. It will take 30 minutes to an hour to thaw.

Can I use regular food coloring instead of the gel?
Yes, of course.
Looks great but all I taste is vegetable oil. Threw then out after the first batch was cooked. 🙁
