Cake Batter Frosting

Cake Batter Frosting - frosting that tastes like cake batter and is simple to make!

I love a good frosting recipe that I can share with you guys. This time it's a cake batter frosting. It uses some boxed cake mix which I don't regret at all. Yes, you'll have some mix left over. That just gives you a reason to make more frosting, right?

Now that I've tried this with vanilla cake mix, I'm anxious to try other flavors. Would you be down for seeing other flavors? I sure hope so, because I'm anxious. I want to run to the store and just start clearing the shelves of cake mix. I should probably just wait and see how this post does. Gotta try to keep up with what you're digging.

I made this frosting for a cookie cone recipe that I'm still testing. The frosting was spot on, the cookie cone is still a work in progress. It's still super pretty though and I got to try out my new cone rack (aff. link) that I bought. Sprinkles can make almost anything pretty though. Maybe not those pinterest fail recipes, but yeah.

Lucian loves the cones. He will sit down for an hour and work his way through an entire cone starting with the frosting. He says the frosting is his favorite, but the rest is very good. He always compliments my desserts like a sweet little boy. Even if he takes ones bite and decides he's not into it, he still politely turns down another bite and says it's good!

I don't want you to be jealous or anything, but I'm a pretty lucky mama. He even told me he wanted to get me a present for Thanksgiving because he loves me.

What's your favorite frosting and flavor? My most favorite frosting ever is peanut butter, but this cake batter frosting is definitely second.

    1. Hi Brandee- The frosting can sit at room temperature for 3-4 days. You can also refrigerate it for up to two weeks. Just take it out of the fridge and let it sit at room temp for about 2 hours before using it to let it soften. Enjoy!

  1. Cake batter ice cream is probably my flavor of the moment, and I know I'd love this cake batter frosting! Yum!! I was always partial to chocolate chip frosting when I was younger, but just about any will do, and I don't even apologize for eating it by the spoonful!
